Spring is the perfect time to give your home a little refresh, especially after the long and dreary winter we’ve had here in England! Adding fresh blooms and giving your home a nice spring clean are simple ways to embrace this wonderful season.
Being the interiors-obsessed person that I am, adding new pieces that celebrate the light and colour of the season is something that I thoroughly enjoy. My husband and I will be moving to our first home in about a month’s time and you can be sure that I’ll be incorporating a few of the below into our home’s Spring style.
Here are some of my personal favourites for giving your home a spruce this Spring:
Although it may be a bit much to go to the extent of adding wallpaper to your home in the name of Spring, there’s something very luxurious and refreshing about the textures, colours and warmth that wallpaper can add to a room. I’ve been lusting over the wallpapers from House of Hackney for months now and especially love the tones of the designs included. With wallpaper, I prefer to steer clear of creating a focal wall and instead opt to wallpaper an entire room - it creates more of a luxurious look and feel.
This may be a shameless plug for my own brand, but I honestly am in love with our new Banana Leaf Print. It’s created from my hand drawn sketch of a banana leaf plant and then gold foiled. S&B has always had a focus on incorporating elements of gold foil into our designs, and coupled with a leafy line drawing it’s a stylish nod to Spring’s abundance of foliage.
This Amelie Shell Vase from Aerin is one of my top picks for this season. It goes beyond the design of the traditional vase, and incorporates texture, gold detailing and is a sculptural piece of art in it’s own right. Add beautiful seasonal blooms and you have the perfect centrepiece for your home this Spring.
I would love to know how you change up your home’s style for Spring and if you’ll be looking into any of the above suggestions for this season!
Lots of love,
